The National Citizen Service (NCS) was a government-backed youth programme in the UK designed to help 15-17-year-olds build confidence, life skills, and social awareness. To stay relevant to a fast-moving Gen Z audience, NCS continuously evolves its digital presence, content strategy, and visual identity.

The Challenge
Engaging teenagers is notoriously difficult; they demand authenticity and can quickly identify "corporate" attempts to speak their language. NCS needed to ensure their visual communications, across social media, podcasts, and physical merchandise—felt fresh, energetic, and culturally relevant. The goal was to support major campaigns that drive "brand love," sign-ups, and engagement by reflecting the true voices and passions of young people.

The Solution
Operating as a multi-disciplinary designer, I provided comprehensive creative support across several high-profile campaigns. The work focused on creating a cohesive yet vibrant visual language that could adapt across digital and physical touchpoints, ensuring the brand felt "owned" by the youth it serves.
Youth Rising Podcast re-BRAND
Delivered a visual re-brand to align the podcast's identity with its edgy, authentic content. This included updated cover art and promotional assets designed to stand out on streaming platforms and social feeds, signalling to listeners that this was a space for real conversations.
Mixtape 22' social media assets
Created a suite of high-energy social media assets to support the campaign launch. The motion graphics and visual design mirrored the campaign's theme of "amplifying youth voices," using kinetic typography and bold imagery to drive excitement and shares.
